Supreme Court Judge Jackton Boma Ojwang is a Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) operative, who has good connections with Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Sources close to the Judge said Jackton Ojwang’s wife Prof Colleta Suda is a close confidante of Raila Odinga‘s wife Mama Ida, and they come from the same neigbourhood in Migori County.
Prof Suda, who is a renowned scholar, is a member of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and she tried in vain to run for an electoral seat in Migori County but failed. Currently Ojwang’s wife is listed for nomination in the Orange party!
Also during the 2011 Judicial surgery by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), the PM’s hand saved Ojwang’ from the guillotine of the commission, since he had been accused of making unjustified rulings during his tenure as a High Court Judge.
Following the above connection, is Jacktone Ojwang’ supposed to seat on the Supreme Court bench that will decide on CORD petition challenging Uhuru Kenyatta’s election?
