RAILA ODINGA is a conman and a thief

MIGUNA MIGUNA  July 8, 2013

Last week, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition Adviser, Miguna Miguna, wrote a shocking letter to Daily Nation’s Special Assignment Editor Muriithi Mutiga saying, Raila Odinga, who he interviewed last Saturday, is a political conman and a thief.
The letter was also copied to a few journalists in Nairobi, who refused to use the alleged information.
Miguna, who is a brilliant lawyer, seems not yet done with Raila Odinga who always claims he won the March 4th election
Here is the exclusive letter;
“Good morning Mr Mutiga? Good interview with the Chief Conman, Raila Odinga. He complains about his pension and security (which he still has by the way) yet just the other day his insiders – Opondi/Caroli-easily took off with Sh 30M from his Upper Hill office. How many Kenyans have Sh30M cash lying about in an office? How much does he have hoarded at his Karen, Bondo & Mombasa homes? How much is stashed in off-shore accounts?
These are public monies he looted! BTW, what about my security, pay & benefits that he withdrew & haven’t been paid to date? What did he do with my personal effects? Raila can’t be allowed to continue his conmanship unchallenged! Thanks. Miguna.
In reaction to online comments, I sent out these additional comments: “Ask the delusional Raila sycophants whether they are aware of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism laws (both local and international) that criminalise any cash hoarding or transaction of more than $10,000. In Canada it is $CAD7,000.
Then ask them how Raila was hoarding Sh30, 0000,000 (which many reliable independent reports suggest was USD100, 000,000) in a private office in Upper Hill, Nairobi? Where did he get such kind of money in hard currency? Why was he keeping it in n office? How much more loot does he have stashed in his Karen, Bondo and Mombasa homes? If he could keep Sh30M in an office where he does not spend nights, how much would he be keeping where he sleeps daily? Raila’s business and murky private financial interests should be investigated scrupulously.
And tell the delusional characters that I did not support Uhuru in exchange for any favours. I wrote my memoirs, which exposed Raila’s duplicitous life before I decided to support Uhuru. So, let Raila’s sycophants wail about jobs. Fortunately, some of us are self-employed professionals who were making more than a cabinet secretary before Kibaki and Raila presided over a dysfunctional coalition government.”
Cheers. [Unedited]
