Security agents at the Coast are looking for another vessel alleged to have slipped from their hands after seizing a sister ship on suspicion of trafficking drugs. Kenya Naval ship which had been deployed in the high seas to intercept the two vessels after Interpol intelligence reported they could be ferrying drugs only came into contact with MV Al Noor, which has been detained at the port of Mombasa.

Reports indicate one of the two vessels could have been carrying heroine worth billions of shillings. However, it is not clear which vessel contained the drugs. Police offloaded bags loaded with a white substance which the vessel records said was “white cement” being transported from “Mombasa to Kenya”. Mombasa deputy county commander Sevelino Kubai had initially said police are looking for another boat believed to be from Pakistan which up to now they do not know its whereabouts.
