ICC judges say RAILA ODINGA visited Mungiki's MAINA NJENGA as they fault BENSOUDA

There was fireworks at the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Monday after ICC judges disagreed with ICC Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda’s assertion that members of the infamous Mungiki group, were supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2007 General Election.

In an argument that left Bensouda with an egg in her face, the judges said, based on the evidence that has been produced in court, the Mungiki group was working with Raila Odinga, who was an ODM Presidential candidate in the chaotic poll.


The Judges also said that they have seen evidence that Raila Odinga visited former Mungiki leader, Maina Njenga, in Kamiti Maximum Prison and gave him Robert Green’s book, 48 Laws of Power and other revolutionary books such as Sun Tzu’s Arts of War.

The Judges urged Bensouda to release any information on Mungiki’s support for Raila Odinga at the December 27, 2007 Presidential elections.

“We want to know which politician was supported by Mungiki in the 2007 Presidential election so that we can know who carried the greatest responsibility of the bloody chaos that killed over 1,300 people and displaced over half a million Kenyans,” the judges wrote.

ICC experts said that this is an indication that the court wants to free Uhuru Kenyatta and indict Raila Odinga who enjoyed Mungiki’s support in 2007 Presidential elections.

“The ICC may soon issue an arrest warrant against Raila Odinga so that he can shed more light on his connection with the killer group,”
