According to the photo, the crash happened at 3:28 am just before the F1 champion was due to fly to Brazil for the Grand Prix there. He blamed his crash on a fever and eventually delayed his flight to Brazil. Luckily, no one was injured but the doctor told Hamilton to rest and leave a day later. For a three-time world champion, blaming his driving mistake on a “fever” is a bit embarrassing.
