A commentary carried on an anti-immigration hate website V-DARE has taken issue with Kenyan-American athletes being included in the US Olympics team.

The commentary suggested that the Kenyan-born duo of Shadrack Kipchirchir and Lenord Korir are taking the place of Americans. The two Kenyan-Americans who are currently serving in the US Army will represent the US in 10,000 meters in Rio Olympics.

Another Kenyan-born athlete Paul Chelimo is also hoping to represent the US in the Olympics in the 5,000 meters.

The writer also says that foreign born athletes are displacing Americans in college scholarships.

“I follow Track And Field closely and I don’t recall this happening in the past. So not only are Americans being displaced in college scholarships by foreign athletes, they are now being crowded out of their own Olympic team by these same people with the aid and approval of the US military,” the commentary read.

The writer also suggested that there was favoritism in favor of the Kenyan natives getting into the US military as they come from President Obama’s “homeland” and he is the Commander in Chief.

“One can only wonder why the current group are all from the President’s father’s homeland and the conduit–the United States Army–is linked to the Commander-In-Chief,” the commentary concluded.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center,an American nonprofit legal advocacy organization specializing in civil rights and public interest litigation, V-DARE has moved from a mainstream anti-immigration website to a meeting place for the radical right. SPLC says the website “regularly publishes articles by prominent white nationalists, race scientists and anti-Semites.”
