Meet the man who handles Uhuru’s Facebook and Twitter accounts

For those who thought President Kenyatta is up till midnight when a posts pops up of his accounts, then you can now rest easy. The President gets enough rest.

Meet Machel Waikenda the man in charge of handling President Kenyatta’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. You may have seen Machel’s blog posts on Capital FM so writing is natural to him.

He is TNA’s Director of Communications and Secretary of Arts and Entertainment and speaking of entertainment, he is also the owner of Blackstar Entertainment.

Machel, 32, a diaspora returnee graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. He also holds a Diploma of Arts from Santa Fe College and a certificate from the iHUB M-Lab: Africa’s first mobile incubation digital hub.

Machel is also a trained pilot having worked for Kenya Airways globetrotting on their Boeing 737 and 767 Jets for five years. He joined the company in 2005. He also seats on the Board of Directors of Blackstar Entertainment.
