Wednesday April 10, 2013 - US President Barrack Obama will build a State of art University in Siaya County to reward his grandmother, Mama Sarah Obama.
According to professor Michael Ikua Muiga, who was the policy staff member of President Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012, plans are underway to construct the University at Nyang’oma –Kogelo in Siaya.
Muiga, who is a Kenyan scholar, said he is currently sourcing for a 10-acre piece of land to expedite its construction before the end of President Obama’s tenure in office.
“We are soon opening a branch in Nairobi but we want the main campus to be located at K’ogelo village where Obama traces his roots,” the professor said.
This is good news to residents of Nyanza region especially at this time devolution is in place.
