“Yote yawezekana bila Raila,”

RAILA ODINGA, KALONZO and WETANGULA jet into the country later today from South Africa
Wednesday, the 10th of April 2013 - The Kenyan DAILY POST has learnt that CORD leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka are due back in the country later today after they conveniently used a ‘holiday trip’ to South Africa to skip yesterday’s inauguration of Uhuru Kenyatta as Kenya’s fourth President.

The pair were accompanied on the trip by their coalition partner Moses Wetangula and several of their family members.

Raila’s spokesman Dennis Onyango, while confirming their return, said that the CORD leaders are now ‘ordinary citizens’ and should be left alone;

“They are expected back today evening but I’ll need to confirm exactly what time. But why are you so interested, they are ordinary citizens now,” he said.

This emerged as it was revealed that the three had been dissuaded from attending the Uhuru/Ruto inauguration at a meeting with CORD’s elected leaders last Thursday. The meeting was held at Raila’s Karen home.

The CORD elected leaders had told the three that they were likely to receive a hostile reception if they attended the event just like the one Moi received at Kibaki’s inauguration in 2002.

This assessment appears to have been justified given the boos and chants of “Yote yawezekana bila Raila,” that the crowd gave in reaction to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni mention of Raila’s name.
