GO HOME!! Three Kenya Navy officers told after attending CORD rally

Senior Sergeant John Apollo (33502), Corporal George Ong’onyi (34094) and a corporal Nyambok (34906) from Kenya Navy have been sent home after attending a CORD political rally in Mombasa two weeks ago.

Sources from the military indicated that they were spotted by intelligence officers in the rally and took their photographs.

According to the Constitution, Article 239 (3) states that:

In performing their functions and exercising their powers, the national security organs and every member of the national security organs shall not—

(a) act in a partisan manner;

(b) further any interest of a political party or cause; or

(c) prejudice a political interest or political cause that is legitimate under this Constitution.

The three soldiers yesterday cleared form the Navy headquarters at Mtongwe, Mombasa as well as moving their families from the Navy servicemen headquarters where they have been residing.
