The story is that two years ago, the late Simon Kibe Mugo, a Kenyan living in UK was found dead in a beach in Morgate, Kent, UK. On the morning of 28th September 2011 that police were called when a male African man was found dead in a beach in Morgate. 2 years down the line the tragedy remains unsolved. After an inquest held on Thursday 12th September 2013 at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court the judge ordered the body to be released to the family. His death was an determined by a coroner as accidental death.
His body has remained in the mortuary since then, due to a lady purported to be his wife and next of kin refusing to identify the body and authorising the coroner to release it to his family funeral.
On behalf of Theo’s immediate family and Kent Kenyan group member, Mr Lawrence N Gakure would like to thank everybody including Louise, Kay and those in the Diaspora from all walks of life who supported them through financial contributions and prayers to give Simon a dignified send off.
He also kindly asks for a volunteer speaker to lead in short prayer, gospel and Simon Eulogy.
May you also confirm attendance so that we can arrange for a wake after the funeral for people to catch-up. There will be a diaspora media (KENTV) who might be covering the procession. All are welcome.
