The new ‘Terminal 4′ building at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is almost complete ahead of its official opening by President Uhuru on Friday next week.
The new ‘terminal’ has been designed to allow free flowing movement of passengers in a spacious environment; and has a clear division between arriving, departing and transiting passengers.
Construction was hastened following the fire that gutted down the international arrivals unit last year.
‘Terminal 4′ is not exactly a terminal, but a unit of the existing terminal. It’s correct name is actually ‘Unit 4′.
The real Terminal under construction is the Greenfield Terminal expected to be complete in a few years time.
