“There has been a lot of noise over the security situation in Kenya and that the British government has issued travel advisories to its citizens against visiting the country and that we also evacuated our citizens last week but that is not the truth,” said Dr Turner.
He clarified that his government had issued a travel advisory on Mombasa but not to the entire country.
“There had been a travel advisory on Mombasa but not Kenya as a whole,” said Turner.
The British High Commissioner pledged that he would play his role to strengthen bilateral relationship between Kenya and United Kingdom (UK) and would also work towards bringing in more UK investors and tourists to the country.
Speaking during the same function, Bomet governor Isaac Ruto, noted that Kenya and UK have a long history in various sectors such as the tea and tourism.
