President Uhuru Kenyatta Wednesday evening visited second liberation hero Kenneth Matiba at his home in South Coast.A jovial Mr. Matiba and his wife Edith welcomed the President and expressed joy at the Head of State’s visit.
Mr. Matiba said: “I am recovering and I appreciate your visit Mr. President.”
The President was accompanied by his daughter, Ngina, and son, Jomo.
President Kenyatta said the country will always be indebted to Mr. Matiba and other leaders who made a lot of sacrifices to open up the democratic space.
The President wished Mr. Matiba well.
Matiba is renowned for his contribution to the fight for multiparty democracy during the Kanu administration.
