Concede defeat and work with the new governmen

Friends of Raila (FORA) lobby group have told Prime Minister Raila Odinga to drop his petition, before he is embarrassed by the Supreme Court at the end of the verdict.

Speaking to journalists on Monday at a Nairobi hotel, the Director of Mobilisation in FORA Charles Wambugu said CORD lost the election to Jubilee, saying a petition is a waste of time and money since CORD are heavily relying on rumours instead of tangible evidence.

He said CORD did not campaign as aggressively as President –elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto who had the energy and resources to oil their campaign machinery to the end.

“We could not match Jubilee’s campaign because while we were lobbying for funds, they were traversing the country on a serious vote hunting mission,” Wambugu said.

Wambugu said even if there is a run –off the PM will still be defeated since the tribal arithmetic still favours Jubilee Coalition.

He urged his boss to concede defeat and work with the new government to avoid further embarrassment!
