Despite your name does not feature anywhere among the presidents!............... Prime Minister Raila Odinga has sensationally stated that the coalition government is still in power despite being threatened by forces of impunity resting at the Office of the President.
Speaking at the funeral of Selina Guda, the mother of renowned Nairobi businessman William Osewe of Ronalo’s Café on Saturday, Raila dismissed assertions by Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia, who recently ordered through the President’s directive that Ministers and their assistants elected to various leadership positions to resign.
“The coalition Government is still in power and bureaucrats including a Permanent Secretary cannot make a political decision to have it discarded prematurely,” Raila Odinga said.
The PM’s remarks were also echoed by Gem MP elect- Jakoyo Midiwo who said President Kibaki’s unilateral decision of sacking ministers was “fishy” and asked Raila not to accept the move since he has equal powers.
Midiwo claimed Kibaki was scheming to have the current Ministers removed from office before planting his “sycophants to steal public funds during the transition period”
