Stop Undermining Uhuru’s Government, Leaders Tell Raila

Some leaders from Nyamira county have accused former Prime Minister Raila Odinga of undermining the leadership of the Jubilee government and asked the Statesto investigate his activities.
They also told Raila to accept he lost the March 4 General Election and stop crying foul that he was robbed of the victory.

Speaking in Nyamira Town, the Federal Party of Kenya director of elections Justus Rasugu also defended Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga against attacks by Raila on the dismissal of his petition by the Supreme Court.
He told Raila Kenyans wanted development now that the elections are over and he should avoid petty politics.
He was accompanied by other leaders drawn from the four constituencies in the county. They said they could not sit back and watch Raila wrecking the leadership of the government which was validly elected.
He told Raila that if elections were to be repeated, he would still lose by a bigger margin compared to what he got in the last elections.
Rasugu said Kenyans were politically mature and cautioned Raila against underrating their intelligence.
He asked Raila to quit politics since he has now started becoming irrelevant to current brand of politics.
He urged Raila to respect the Judiciary which he said was behind the current reforms experienced in most government institutions.
He said that it was unfortunate for Raila to imagine that the Judiciary was only fair when the ruling is done in his favour.
He told Mutunga to ignore Raila’s attacks on him which had demonstrated that he had no respect for the rule of law.
He threatened to organise a demonstration against Raila if he does not stop undermining the current government and other legally constituted institutions.
