MP threaten to step down if Serem will not increase his pay.

This is not , you should have gone yesterday! Who asked you to take the job in the first place? "MPig"........Mashariaz Gitonga.

May 17, 2013 - Kiambu Town Member of Parliament, Jude Njomo, has given given Sarah Serem’s SRC an ultimatum to increase his salary or he quits being anMP.
Speaking early today, Njomo said that he will not allow himself be intimidated ordemeaned by Serem with ‘peanuts’ for salary when there were other well paying jobs and businesses out there that he can venture in.
He noted that he was way above the sh532,000 that Serem wants to pay him, and threatened to resign if something is not done on his salary.
This comes only three days after civil society groups staged a protest demanding MPs to drop their greed for pay hike.
The salary commission has vowed never to increase MPs’ salary even with a single cent despite the legislators’ plot to disband the commission.
Njomo’s move will definitely be most welcome by both SRC and majority of Kenyans, considering that they had advised all dissatisfied MPs to quit if they were not comfortable with their pay package.
