President Uhuru Kenyatta renews unity call

Saturday, May 18th 2013, By PPSNAIROBI,KENYA: President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to shun petty differences and unite in developing the country.
Thanking wananchi for voting for the Jubilee Coalition, President Kenyatta reiterated that his Government will serve all Kenyans without discrimination.
The President added that the elections are now over and Kenyans should work together towards the realisation of national development goals.
“Let’s unite, live peacefully and develop our beloved country,” President Kenyatta said.
The Head of State was speaking when he made a stopover at Chaka trading centre to acknowledge greetings from area residents at the start of his three day official visit in Nyeri County.
On youth development, the President assured that his Government will give priority to youth empowerment as pledged in the Jubilee manifesto.
Kieni Member of Parliament James Mathenge thanked the President for the visit and reassured him of the area residents’ support to the Jubilee Coalition.
TNA Chairman Johnson Sakaja echoed the President’s sentiments that all pledges made to the youth and Kenyans would be fulfilled.
