MPs asked not to complain over 'pig' tag

May 2013 -  BY HELLEN MWANGI
Mohammed Dida yesterday defended the use of pigs to demonstrate the public's anger at the MPs demand for more money.
Dida said while the animal is considered unclean to Muslims, there is nothing wrong with equating the MPs' greed to pigs.
''If a leader has the behaviour and habits of a pig then he should not complain when called so as this reflects on his acts,'' he stated.
He said religion allowed comparison between animals and human beings and is used to guide people from emulating those vices that reduced them to the level of animals.''We human beings have IQ's and should use it so that we are not compared to animals,'' he said.
He said that any leader who cannot live within the Sh500,000 salary being offered was greedy and should be called a pig.
