Former Prime Minister and Cord leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday returned five government vehicles allocated to him but retained two to be used by his body guards.
The remaining car is set to be returned today, Wednesday.
Odinga returned the vehicles after he failed to get a written commitment from the government allowing him to keep the vehicles.
Last week Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta were said to have a verbal agreement that the former Premier will be allowed to keep the vehicles.
The head of the presidential Communication Unit Manoah Esipisu said he was not aware of the agreement.
On Tuesday, Odinga wrote to interior cabinet secretary Joseph Ole Lenku seeking clarification on the state of the cars in relation to the agreement with President Kenyatta but the Secretary directed him to deliver the vehicles to a transport officer at Harambee House.
The former premier had four Mercedes Benz, two Toyota Prados, a Range Rover and a Nissan Saloon.
Earlier he had turned away a group of general service Unit officers accorded to him as security after his was withdrawn.
He said he wanted a chance to personally pick his bodyguards rather than be assigned by someone else.
Odinga has also been trying in vain to retain his long time driver Phillip Juma who was withdrawn after an order by the Prison Commandant that all prison officers be redeployed to the department.
